Six Libyan doctors will arrive in Bulgaria to receive training by the end of 2005, the Bulgarian National Radio quoted the director of the National Parasitic Diseases Center, professor Bogdan Petrunov, as saying.
Petrunov reminded that 3 Libyan doctors are taking part in the training at the moment. They are studying how to recognize AIDS, Hepatitis and other infectious diseases. The training is part of an exchange program between the “Al-Fateh” University in Tipoli and the National Center on Infectious and Parasitic Diseases in Bulgaria. “The main purpose of this program is the training of Libyan experts, college graduates and laboratory assistants, on the problems of infectious diseases. Secondly, it provides an opportunity for exchanging scientific data. Thirdly, it helps organize joint scientific events on the issues of infectious diseases,” Petrunov said.He added that the program is developing very well and creates positive atmosphere among the two countries.
