Gadhafi received President of Central African Republic

The Leader of the Revolution Muammar al Gadhafi received President Françoise Buzizi president of Central Africa Republic, a member of the Conference of Leaders and Head of states of Cen-Sad Community, his wife and accompanying delegation who arrived in Great Jamahiriya Sunday evening.

President Buzizi renewed during the meeting his appreciation and that of the people of Central Africa to the leader of the revolution for his efforts to restore security and stability to this African country.Emphasis were laid on the important outcomes realized by the 5th ordinary session of the AU conference, in Sirt to promote and develop the march of the great African Union towards the establishment of the great African Union, as well as the progress of the Cen-Sad community, the base of the AU pyramid.

The Secretary of the General People's Committee, secretaries of General People's Committees for Economy and Trade as well as Finance, the assistant secretary for the General people's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, and the delegation accompanying President Buzizi attended the meeting.

The First International Conference in Libya on the initiative for Seas and Oceans

More than 87 world figures from political institutions, international governmental and non-governmental organizations, military personalities, experts and specialists in the field of environment from 26 countries, took part in the First International Conference on the Initiative for Seas and Oceans Environmental Security .

The conference deal with three critical manifestations of ocean security in the Mediterranean Region: environmental security, economic security, and defense/the fight against international crime. Round tables and panels shall take into account the national, regional and global manifestations and repercussions of the major security hazards to be addressed, as well as the concrete possibilities of cooperation available in the current panorama.

Thusday, 19 of July,2005, the announcement of this participation came in a press conference held by the Conference Preparation Committee in Tripoli where its chairman Ali al -Bussifi stressed the importance of holding this conference in Great Jamahiriya and the issues to be discussed concerning environmental security of seas and oceans of the world. He indicated that this conference is organized by the Advisory Committee on Protection of the Seas (ACOPS) under the auspices of Gaddafi International Foundation for Charity Associations (GIFCA).

Chairman of the Committee pointed out that issues of economic security of the Mediterranean Sea in particular and seas and oceans in the world, Oil and Gas Sector and fish wealth are among the salient topics to be studied by the Conference, in addition to the security aspects of the environment specially equipping and executing a monitoring system for disasters predictions, indicating that other economic and social aspects will be considered as well.

Gadhafi receives former German Foreign Minister Genscher

The Leader of the Revolution Muammar al Gadhafi received the former German foreign minister, Hans Dietrich Genscher, who lauded the leader's strategic vision to build a world based on neutral aspect and fruitful cooperation between nations in order to realize security, peace and stability for all nations.

Former German foreign minister Genscher valued the bold step taking by the Great Jamahiriya to voluntarily abandon all programs and equipment that may lead to the production of internationally banned weapons.During this meeting, the former German foreign minister congratulated the Leader for the great success achieved during the 5th ordinary session of the African Union summit conference in Sirt, expressing his high appreciations for the continuous efforts and pioneer role of the Leader in establishing the AU, a vast space that has its weight among other spaces in the world .He also stressed the importance of promoting cooperation and contacts between the African and European union to serve the mutual interest of the people of the two continents.
