A celebration was held in Tajoura by laying down the foundation stone for the execution of a residential city as part of the establishment of 50,000 housing unites project which was adopted by the General People's Committee in its decree number 78 for the year 2005.
During this ceremony which was attended by Secretaries of various peoples committees and General Inspectors for agriculture, industry, housing and utilities, in addition a number of coordinators of social people's leaderships in the Shabia.
The Secretary of the General People's Committee stressed in his speech that this big project will greatly contribute to providing proper housing to Libyan citizens, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made to prepare for this big residential project. Dr. Mohammed abu-Agela, the General Director of the project told Jana reporter that this is one of the sites chosen to execute the 50, 000 housing units projects.This location covers an area of 755 hectares comprising 25,000 to 30,000 housing units.
